Appointments/Office Hours
We provide twenty-four hour coverage for dental emergencies. In the event of an urgent dental situation, please call us as soon as possible so that your child may be scheduled quickly. For an after hours emergency, call 781-391-8300 and follow the instructions on how to reach the dentist on call. On the rare occasion that we are not available, we will leave the telephone number of a covering office or The Children’s Hospital, Boston. The most current and effective infection control measures are used in our office. Instruments are heat and/or chemically sterilized after each use. Disposable products are utilized whenever possible. In addition, masks, gloves, protective eyewear and clothing are worn. Due to these measures, you can feel confident that you child’s health is protected. All patients are seen on an appointment basis. We are respectful of the fact that you have set aside time in your day to bring your child to our office. Every effort is made to meet our time commitments, but occasionally, a child requires extra attention or an emergency may occur, causing a slight delay. Please be assured that your child will receive the same courteous and attentive care. All appointments are scheduled with your child’s best interest in mind. Certain types of appointments are scheduled at specific times of the day. Based on years of experience, it is the policy of Children’s Dental Associates to schedule appointments for younger children in the morning because they tend to respond better earlier in the day. This also assures after school hours for our older patients.
If you cannot
keep an appointment, please give us at least 48 hours notice
so that we may offer this reserved time to another patient awaiting
care. A fee may be assessed for missed appointments when proper
notice is not given. We make every effort to keep down the cost of your child’s dental care. To help achieve this, payment for services rendered is expected at the time of visit. Payment can be made by cash or check. We also accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Prior to starting any dental treatment, you will be given a written treatment plan and estimate of cost. After review, a payment plan will be devised factoring in any insurance benefits you may have. In all cases, your child’s treatment plan will be discussed with you before we proceed.
If you have
dental insurance, we will assist you in processing your claims to
maximize your benefits. Please remember that your insurance coverage
may only partially pay for the services rendered and that you are
responsible, in most cases, for the difference. The agreement of the
insurance company to pay for you child’s dental care is a contract
between you and the company. Therefore, you, not the company, are
responsible for payment of services rendered in our office. Our
staff will gladly assist you with you insurance questions. |
