Pediatric
Dentistry
Pediatric
dentists are required to complete postgraduate training after dental
school. Our specialty is designed to meet the dental needs of
growing children from infancy through adolescence by providing the
most current preventive and restorative techniques. We also have a
special interest in monitoring the growth and development of your
child’s dentition and are able to advise you of any specific
problems that may be in need of treatment.
Robert A. Frank, D.M.D.
- Pediatric Dentist
Dr.
Frank graduated with a BA in Biology and Chemistry from Queens
College in 1964 and received his dental degree from the Harvard
School of Dental Medicine in 1968. After graduating dental school,
he practiced dentistry as a captain in the Air Force stationed at
Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. In 1970, he returned to
Boston for two years of post-graduate pediatric dental training at
Children’s Hospital and served as chief resident during the second
year. In 1972, Dr. Frank opened the Medford practice.
Dr. Frank is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
where he has been on the Dental Care Committee and the Council on
Governmental Affairs. He is currently a consultant for the Academy’s
Council on Scientific Affairs. He is also a member of the American
Dental Association and the Massachusetts Academy of Pediatric
Dentistry. He has served as president of the Massachusetts Academy.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Frank has been an active staff
member at Children’s Hospital Boston since 1976 and currently
teaches and holds the position of Senior Associate in Pediatric
Dentistry at the hospital. He also is a faculty member of the
Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Frank is a Diplomate of the
American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Frank resides in Lexington, Massachusetts with his wife Marge.
They have two adult children who reside out of state.
Peter B. Geller,
D.D.S. - Pediatric Dentist
Dr.
Peter Geller graduated cum laude with a BA in Biology from Hofstra
University and received his dental degree from New York University
College of Dentistry. He completed his postdoctoral training in
Pediatric Dentistry at Children’s Hospital Boston and the Harvard
School of Dental Medicine. While at Children’s, Dr. Geller served as
chief resident and received the Farley Fellowship Fund Award for
excellence in patient care. He joined the practice in 1986.
Dr. Geller is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric
Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Massachusetts
Dental Society. He has served as president of the Massachusetts
Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and remains an active member.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Geller is a Clinical Assistant
in Pediatric Dentistry at Children’s Hospital and the Harvard School
of Dental Medicine. Dr. Geller is a Diplomate of the
American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Geller resides in Acton,
Massachusetts with his wife, Marne, and their two children, Andrew
and Joshua.
David Petrarca, D.D.S.
- Pediatric Dentist
Dr.
David Petrarca graduated with a BS in Biochemistry from Boston
College in 1992 and received his dental degree from Columbia
University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in 1996. He completed a
two year post-graduated residency training program in Pediatric
Dentistry at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC,
where he served as chief resident during his second year of
training.
Dr. Petrarca returned to the Boston Metropolitan area in 1998 and
had worked in a private pediatric dental practice until joining
Children’s Dental Associates in January 2003. He is a member of the
American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Massachusetts Academy
of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Dental Association, and is on the courtesy teaching staff at Children’s Hospital
Boston. Dr. Petrarca is a Diplomate of the
American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Petrarca and his wife Celeste, who is a practicing pediatrician
at the Children’s Hospital Boston, reside in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Sven Supplies, D.M.D. -
Orthodontist
Dr.
Supplies, a native of Berlin, Germany, graduated with honors from
Mars Hill College, North Carolina with a Degree in Biology. During
his college education, he received numerous academic awards and
scholarships as a result of his continuous pursuit for academic
excellence. He completed his dental training at the Boston
University School of Dental Medicine. In addition to graduating at
the top of his class, Dr. Supplies received numerous awards while
attending Boston University, including The Omicron Kappa Upsilon
Award for clinical excellence in the field of Dentistry, The Academy
of Operative Dentistry Award and was named to the Dean’s List for
academic excellence. He was also the recipient of the Boston
University School of Dental Medicine Merit Scholarship and was a
member of the National Dental Honor Society.
After graduating from Boston University in 1994, Dr. Supplies
continued his studies in the dental specialty of Orthodontics and
Dentofacial Orthopedics. During his two years of orthodontic
training, he completed a research project studying the effect of
frictional resistance during orthodontic tooth movement and compared
the clinical efficiency of three commonly used orthodontic brackets.
Dr. Supplies received his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in
Orthodontics from Boston University in September 1996. The American
Board of Orthodontics credentials him as Board Eligible.
Dr. Supplies and his wife, Dr. Margaret Supplies, a general dentist,
reside in Littleton, Massachusetts with their two sons.
Donna M. Hackley, D.M.D. -
Pediatric Dentist
Dr.
Donna Hackley graduated with honors from Princeton University, where
she majored in chemistry. She received her dental training at the
Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Hackley received
numerous awards while attending BU, including the Alpha Omega Award
for graduating at the top of her class.
After graduating from Boston University, Dr. Hackley completed a
one-year general practice residency. She then did her pediatric
dental training at Children’s Hospital Boston and the Harvard School
of Dental Medicine. While at Children’s, Dr. Hackley served as chief
resident during her second year of training.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Hackley is a member of the
courtesy staff at Children’s Hospital Boston. She is a member of the
American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Massachusetts Academy of
Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Hackley resides in Westford, Massachusetts with her husband
Steve, and their daughters Hannah and Cara.
Linda Morgan, D.M.D.
- Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Morgan graduated from the University of California, Santa
Barbara, cum laude in biology. She then attended the Harvard School
of Dental Medicine from which she also graduated cum laude and
earned the highest grades possible on the dental licensing
examinations. She completed her pediatric dental training at
Children’s Hospital Boston and the Harvard School of Dental
Medicine. She served as chief resident and authored a peer reviewed
journal article on her research on fluoride. She also spent an
additional eight years on the staff at Children’s Hospital treating
patients, teaching, and pursuing her research interests.
Dr. Morgan is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric
Dentistry, the American Dental Society, and the Academy of General
Dentistry.
Dr. Morgan lives in Concord, Massachusetts with her husband Jeffrey
and their three daughters.
